Parents Who Rock the Christmas Tree

parentswhorock12-20-08.jpgWe–and at least 10 other bundled up souls–braved the 25-degree weather just now to hear Parents Who Rock sing holiday songs on Church Street next to the Montclair town tree. Three awesome guys–local parents who rock–sang Jingle Bells and other favorites to promote the new PWR CD called let ‘em play. The CDs are $10, and they’re available all over town at Just Kidding Around, Aunt Jean’s Toys & Treats, Semplice and other stores.

All proceeds from the CD go to Little Kids Rock,
an incredibly cool national organization here in Montclair that gives
instruments and instruction to children in public schools.

This is Parents Who Rock’s second CD. The first one helped raise
$150,000 for All Children’s Playground in Edgemont Park. On the new
recording, you’ll hear songs from 23 local mammas and pappas like Alma Schneider, The Bloomingfields (who happen to be my nice next door neighbors on Bloomfield Ave.) Alisa Harmon and many others.

Pretty cool. Rock on.
