I’m not happy that salmonella peanut butter is making people sick, as Kristen posted recently, but at least this is one illness my family doesn’t have to worry about. We just have to worry about peanuts in general. They could kill my daughter.
Here are the bakeries, shops and peanut-free places I’ve found around Montclair.
My daughter was almost 3-years-old when we found out she had a severe peanut allergy. If you are a parent of a child with a food allergy, you know how scary and life-changing it is. When the allergist called to tell me the results of her blood test and confirmed that she had a potentially life-threatening peanut allergy, I felt like the walls were caving in. From that day on, there needed to be an Epi-pen with her at all times. As a family, we needed to change the way we shopped, what we ate, and where we went.
