The Bloomfield Board of Education announced the selection of Mr. Jason Bing-Schetelick as the new Superintendent of schools. His five-year, $167,500 contract begins April 21 and expires June 30, 2016. Mr. Bing-Schetelick will replace Interim Superintendent of Schools Ms. Catherine Mozak.

Mr. Bing-Schetelick, age 41, was Superintendent at Great Meadows Regional School District in Warren County before being hired as Superintendent of schools in Barnegat Township. According to NorthJersey.com, he was unanimously approved by the board, but that “the board was met by about 60 angry residents, claiming they were left in the dark by the hiring process and not afforded a chance to meet the top two superintendent candidates in a public setting.”
