School Early Dismissals

Thanks to the storm warning and the possible 4 to 8 inches of snow, along with sleet, schools are beginning to call early dismissals.

The following schools will follow early dismissal schedules. Check back often to learn about all local early dismissals:

Public Schools

Clifton Public Schools
Little Falls Public Schools
Millburn Pubic Schools – Early dismissals and Afternoon Preschool, after school and evening activities are canceled.
Montclair Public Schools- all afternoon activities canceled. (Does not affect aftercare)
West Orange Public School- all afternoon activities canceled and Winter Concert postponed until February 2.
South Orange-Maplewood Public Schools – all afternoon activities and aftercare are canceled.
Livingston Public Schools – early dismissal and all afternoon activities canceled.
Wayne Public Schools – early dismissal.
Verona Public Schools – all afternoon activities canceled.
Cedar Grove Public Schools -  All afternoon and evening events and activities are canceled. In addition the BOE meeting for tonight is canceled and will be rescheduled. 
Chatham Public Schools – all afternoon activities canceled.
Summit Public Schools – early dismissal and afternoon and evening activities canceled.

Private Schools

Park Street Academy –  1 pm closing
Watchung Cooperative School – no afternoon classes.
Montclair Kimberley Academy – all afternoon activities and late bus service canceled.
Montclair Cooperative School – all afternoon activities, including A.S.P and soccer are canceled.
Mount Saint Dominic Academy – early dismissal and afternoon activities canceled.

Colleges and Universities

Bloomfield College – Closed at 10 am
Montclair State University – Will close at 4:30 pm: evening classes canceled.
Caldwell College – Closed at noon.
William Paterson University – Will close at 4 pm: evening classes canceled.

    Any word regarding schools in Essex County?

    Looks like GR schools are toughing it out, no early dismissal, maybe just no 9th block or activities after school at the HS.

    Why do you care about the schools in Essex County? I believe you told us your only child, a son, finished BHS in 02.
