Touching a Stingray

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked Camden’s Adventure Aquarium when we visited a couple of years back. We had planned a weekend trip to Philly and decided to stop at the aquarium for the afternoon before crossing the bridge. It was a great idea, and perfect for little kids.

The aquarium is not too large, but has enough exhibits to keep the family entertained for the day. The exhibits are highly interactive and keep children engaged. Right next door to the aquarium is the Camden’s Children’s Garden, a four-acre garden that invites families to play, interact and just enjoy.

If you’re on spring break, this is a great week to visit, and another perfect day trip. All week the aquarium is throwing its annual Button’s Birthday Bash. Who is Button you ask? Oh, just a 3,000 pound hippopotamus who loves watermelon cake.

In addition to the fun birthday festivities for Button, Fisher-Price® LITTLE PEOPLE® will visit all week, circus entertainers will perform in the Rotunda, and hippo cupcakes will be served in the cafe daily.
