Dan Zanes Special Christmas Sing-a-Long Show

My birthday is on December 18, which is probably why I LOVE the holiday season. It starts with Thanksgiving, followed by my birthday, then Christmas and New Year’s Day, which happens to be my oldest daughter’s birthday. It’s a time of festivity, family and togetherness.

Last year, I vowed to have a birthday party for myself, but I’ve reconsidered that idea. I’d rather do something that makes me happy.

So what does a soon-to-be 38-year-old want for her birthday? Tickets to Dan Zanes Special Christmas Sing-a-Long at City Winery in NYC. When I found out DZ & Friends would be performing on December 17, the day before my big day, I was thrilled. We were planning on being in The City that day anyway for the Elizabeth Mitchell concert and to visit the Rockefeller Center Tree, so we’ll end our day singing Christmas carols with one of my favorite family singers.

The Christmas Show is celebrating the release of his new holiday EP, Christmas in Concord, which is a musical celebration of the Antonson’s annual Christmas party – a seasonal highlight in Concord, New Hampshire from 1968-1989, which Dan recalls fondly from his childhood. Its’ available on iTunes here.

Being with my family, singing Christmas carols in NYC makes me happy and is how I’ll be celebrating my birthday.

If you want to join me, you can purchase tickets to the show here.
