Each year, thousands flock from near and far to this time-honored, early-summer tradition. This year will be even more special as they continue St. Catherine of Siena Parish’s 60th anniversary celebration.
“It’s a privilege for us in the parish to be here, now, to honor everyone who spent the last 60 years building St. Catherine’s into the wonderful parish it is today,” said Pastor Msgr. Robert Slipe. “The carnival, in its fun way, truly expresses our spirit, bringing the entire community together – our neighbors, family and friends – to enjoy being together and to have a good time.”
Bring the family for dinner or stop for a snack at the Food Court. There will be delicious carnival food and, don’t forget those delicious, fresh-made zeppole!
Kids will enjoy Kid’s World in the air-conditioned St. Catherine of Siena School gym. Activities including “sandy candy,” sand art, spin art, face-painting; and games such as fishing, golf, hockey slap shot and many, many more! Players win a small prize for every game played. While you are there, indulge your sweet tooth with a visit to Katie’s Café, where you’ll find an assortment of scrumptious cakes and cookies. Beat the early summer heat and enjoy a brownie—or two!
Cost: Free admission.
