Weekend Highlights: Your Guide to Family Fun

This is another jam-packed family event weekend. That’s what happens when spring arrives. Things get busy! It’s going to be difficult to choose what to do. Of course, the Montclair Film Festival is happening and this weekend two films are family-friendly: First Position and Brooklyn Castle. Barista Kids is the proud co-presenter of these great films. There are still tickets available to First Position, but act fast!

Here are some other fun weekend events:

Luna Stage hosts Great Scott, It’s Magic! Illusionist Scott Drukker’s show features live animals, lots of audience participation, and guaranteed fun for the whole family. (Saturday, May 5)

The Morris Museum offers a Clay Day Family Festival, a celebration of Chinese arts, crafts, and culture. (Saturday, May 5)

Drop the kids off at the Montclair Y and/or the Geyer Family Y for Parents’ Night out. They’ll have fun and you can have some grown-up time. (Saturday, May 5)

The annual Hoboken Arts & Musical Festival is a great time. Preschool of Rock will be there entertaining and Field Station Dinosaurs will roam the streets! (Sunday, May 6)

It’s also a Museums on Us weekend, which means that Bank of America /Merrill Lynch cardholders get free museum admission. (Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6)
