It just wasn’t Halloween until my mom pulled out the bucket, dumped in some apples and we held out annual bobbing for apples contest. And for some reason, I had forgotten about that tradition until this year.
Which made me think, have you? Did you go bobbing for apples as a child? Have you taught your kids the fun game? Or is bobbing for apples a game of the past?

We used to take the stage coach to one of the local farms back ’82….1882.
I have done this with the kids on the years I have thrown a Halloween party. The problem is I always paint their faces so it can get messy.
Now just the adults play I just fill the big tub with cold water and beer for the annual bobbing for brews game.
If you can get the top off without using your hands you get a prize.
