The reasons I would love to win these tickets is simple! First of all, we can’t afford them on our own. And second, I would love to surprise my son and my mother with them. As a child, I was surrounded by a big family for the holidays. I always feel a little bad for my son for not having a big family with grandparents, cousins and aunts and uncles around to celebrate. It’s just my husband, my son,my Mom and I for Christmas every year. See, we are perfect for the 4 pack! :)

I have such memories of the Christmas Show at Radio City. My parents took us out of school each year on my mother’s birthday(December 14). When we went they used to also show a movie. I saw Bambi one year. Now I have two daughters who would LOVE to go. My aunt was a rockette back in the fifties back when the Rockettes toured the country. My favorite part of the show is the live nativity with the real animals !

I really want to win this!! Growing up, my family never had the money for this, and I really really wanted to go!! And now I have two children who are the perfect age for experiencing its magic.

  22. POSTED BY kellywcu  |  October 16, 2012 @ 12:55 pm

I would love to win because my mom and I saw a broadway show a few years back, and we would now love to take my 2 kids because they are a great age to enjoy NYC and the Rockette’s. Thanks!

My oldest daughter wants to be a Rockette and it would be so wonderful to go asa family andsee the show we hope to see her perform in one day. This is our first Christmas without our traditional family celebrations with our parents due to illnesses, it would be a great new family tradition to begin with new memories.

  24. POSTED BY katvanwin  |  October 16, 2012 @ 2:14 pm

I remember going a couple of times as a child. My daughter, who has been a tapper for 3 years, has never seen it and would really enjoy it. We’re also wondering whether the outfit designed for the Rockettes on this season of Project Runway will make an appearance.

  25. POSTED BY jabberwocky  |  October 16, 2012 @ 2:29 pm

I had a teacher who was a Rockette before switching to a career as an educator. An interest in this show has stuck with me ever since. For a time I worked as a live in nanny and had such fun taking my kids to this seasonal kick off. Now I’d like to share the fun with my own children!

I would love nothing more than to take my daughters to see the show and see the looks on their faces. The holiday season is so special to me, as it is a time to be thankful for all that we have been blessed with in our lives. A time to remind us what is truly important; family.

  28. POSTED BY rockydoo09  |  October 16, 2012 @ 5:39 pm

I would LOVE to go because Christmas is my “thing”. Everyone knows it is my favorite time of the year and I love anything involved with the holiday season. What would make this show extra special is that I have family in NYC that we have not seen in years and this would be a wonderful and special thing for us to all do together! Thank you for the giveaway!

Two reasons (other than “I just wanna!”):

    1) My eight-year-old loves dance and would adore this.

    2) While I was at Kessler lsat year following a car accident, my occupational therapist talked about her sister being a Rockette … so it’s fated. Fated, I tell you!

NYC is a great city, but during the holiday season it simply becomes magical. Nothing beats the city during the holidays, and my husband and I would love to take our 4-year old daughters to see the Rockettes; truly a memorable experience.

I do miss going to Radio City, as we did every year while living in Manhattan. My son made Christmas Spectacular history (at age 4) when he didn’t understand the reference to Baby Jesus. He thought that they said “Baby Cheeses,” and yelled out, “I love baby cheeses! American cheeses! Swiss cheeses! (We carried Baby Bonbel with us everywhere) Due to the wonderful acoustics, his comment was heard by the Rockettes on stage, and they laughed so hard, the show was delayed for a few minutes. So, please help us make history there once again.

  58. POSTED BY jovee1025  |  October 23, 2012 @ 1:59 pm

My parents made it a tradition to take my daughter every year when she was a little girl. Then my dad lost his job and they were never able to return since. Now that she is grown (just turned 18) and has a little sister that has yet to see the Rockettes live, it would be an awesome opportunity for all four of them to experience the show together, one last time before she ventures out on her own… wahhhh!

My husband, 2 daughters and I are nuts about the holidays and love the excitement in NYC in December. None of us have ever seen the Radio City Christmas show. My tap dancing kids are now the perfect age to enjoy it. Plus, the tickets would be a perfect holiday surprise for my husband’s birthday in early December.

  65. POSTED BY wendywick  |  October 24, 2012 @ 12:23 pm

We have always wanted to go to this show live! My great aunt was a broadway dancer (eons ago!) and always encouraged me to take my kids to the arts but my youngest one had such bad sensory issues that we could not hope to sit through an event with lights and music. We purchased the Rockettes DVD Christmas Spectacular and watched at home instead! This year my son is better able to cope and is more curious. We just entered the “Design a Rockettes Costume” facebook content under my name but my 9 year old budding fashionista did the design work. We didn’t win but it got the kids in the spirit and it would be great to be able to take them to the show…even if the rockettes are not wearing our design this year!

My son’s birthday in in December and having a birthday and a major holiday in one month is taxing. I would like to start a family tradition of kicking off the Holiday season by going to see the Rockettes. Also, although I have two boys I think this is a perfect why to introduce them to theater.

  69. POSTED BY liliknutzen  |  October 27, 2012 @ 7:21 am

What a wonderful giveaway! I used to go when I was a little girl in the days you got a movie and the Christmas Spectacular! I would love to go with my family, especially since my son has never seen the show and I am sure, since he’ll be off to college in less than two years, it would be a fantastic family memory maker!

  72. POSTED BY kimmiet  |  October 28, 2012 @ 4:23 pm

There is nothing like Christmas in NYC!!! 85 years of Rockettes!!! Now that my son is 3, I think his eyes would light up if he were to marvel at the lights, the sights, and the beautiful Rockettes that make the show unbelievable!!! I would also like to take Great Grams and Mom. I have been before, but Great Grams is 88 and has never seen the show. Neither has my mom, who is 63. What a delight if we could have 4 generations at the show!

I would love to be able to take my 10 year old daughter to Radio City to see the Rockettes! She would adore the costumes and would be thrilled with the live performance. During the holidays it is so hard to get the extra money together for entertainment like this.
