MKA Sunday Book Fair Spectacular

On Sunday, November 4,  Montclair Kimberley Academy will celebrate 125 Years of Reading and 125 years of being part of the Montclair community by inviting the entire community to a very special Sunday Spectacular Book Fair event from 10 am – 4 pm, at the MKA Middle School Campus, 201 Valley Road, Montclair.

Throughout the day, local authors will be on hand for discussions, presentations and book signings.  At the time of press, the schedule is as follows:

  • 10 am: Leslie Brody (The Last Kiss) and Jonathan Alter (The Promise)
  • 11 am:  Michael Uslan (The Boy Who Loved Batman)
  • 12 pm: Dana Jennings (What a Difference a Dog Makes)
  • 1 pm: George Steinmetz (African Air)
  • 2 pm: Denise Patrick (American Girl series)
  • 3 pm: Christina Baker-Kline (Bird in Hand)

In addition, Applegate Farm Ice Cream will sponsor an old-fashioned Sundae Ice Cream Social from 12 pm – 3 pm.

MKA is the site of the largest Scholastic Book Fair in the country.  There will be thousands of books available, including the latest releases in child and adult titles, as well as the unique opportunity to order autographed books from the following celebrated authors scheduled to visit MKA later in the week: Loren Long (Otis series), Matthew Reinhart (Star Wars: The Pop-Up Guide to the Galaxy), Dav Pilkey (Captain Underpants series), Lisa McMann (The Unwanteds series), Trent Reedy (In the Dust), Kate Messner (Capture the Flag) and Deborah Davis (Guest of Honor: Booker T. Washington, Theodore Roosevelt, and the White House Dinner That Shocked a Nation.)
