WINNER: Congratulations to rukiddingme!

My family experienced a New Jersey Symphony Orchestra (NJSO) Family Series concert for the first time last November. The concert was called Music and Emotions and focused on the masterpiece works of Ludwig Van Beethoven. We loved the entire experience of NJSO’s Family Concert. Trying out the instruments pre-show, sitting in NJPAC’s beautiful Prudential Hall,  learning about Beethoven and enjoying the music.

It was wonderful and we’re excited to see the other two shows in this season’s lineup: Peter and the Wolf, narrated by Bob McGrath of Sesame Street fame on February 9 and Dancing Around the World on June 1. You don’t want to miss these musical learning experiences for your family!

Bob McGrathTo share how wonderful these concerts are, we’re giving away four tickets to NJSO’s Peter and The Wolf family concert on Saturday, February 9 to one lucky reader! Your kids will love the story and music written by Sergei Prokofiev and narrated by the wonderful Bob McGrath.

Introduce your family to all the characters of Prokofiev’s classic tale, which tells the story through both words and music of an adventurous boy and a hapless wolf. The duck, bird, cat, wolf, hunters, Peter and his Grandfather are all represented by a specific theme and instrument, making this a wonderful introduction to the instruments of the orchestra, as well as a charming story.

NJSO family concertTo enter tell us which character and its instrument in Peter in The Wolf is your favorite in comments. Do you love the Bird/ flute? Is the Cat/clarinet your favorite? Or do you love the beautiful sound of Peter and the string instruments?
