Bosley Sees the WorldWINNER: Congratulations to yvonenava!

“The Adventures of Bosley Bear” feature a a confident, curious little bear created to teach children foreign words and phrases while enjoying a bedtime story. Bosley Bear is offered in seven languages: Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Chinese, German and Arabic—available for Kindle as an e-book, and as print or hardcover publications on The Language Bear.com.

According to The Language Bear, the teaching methods used in these books allow children to learn at their own pace and enjoy the learning process. Methods such as:

  • Repeat words
  • Simple phrases
  • Labelled illustrations
  • Highlighted vocab words
  • Contextual learning
  • Corresponding imagery

For children, learning a new language in the context of a story is such a powerful learning tool, because they can use the images, characters and plot to help them remember words and phrases. Even simple foreign words and phrases can give a child a completely new perspective and open their eyes to new ways of seeing the world.

Tim Johnson is the self-published author, as well as a full-time engineer and dad. Johnson discovered the power of bilingual books while visiting Japan as a teenager. He founded The Language Bear  and wrote “The Adventures of Bosley Bear,” to educate children in foreign languages as a tool to increase cultural awareness.

Thanks to The Language Bear, we’re giving away two  Bosley Bear books in Spanish: The first in the series Bosley Sees the World and, perfect for summer, Bosley Goes to the Beach.
