Whippany Railway Museum’s Pumpkin Festival

It’s officially autumn and with it comes Harvest Festivals! Enjoy pumpkins, games, food, music and more at these events:

Bloomfield HarvestFest
Who:
 All ages.
What: Shop fair vendors, stop by food courts, and play at the KidZone with games and activities.
Where: Broad Street, between Belleville and Bloomfield Avenues, Bloomfield, NJ.
When: Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.

11th Annual NJ Botanical Gardens Harvest Fest Craft Fair
Who: All ages
What: A fun-filled family weekend featuring quality homemade quality crafts, hayrides, pumpkin painting, face painting, storytellers, Octoberfest food and drink, and live music.
Where: NJ Botanical Gardens, Morris Road, Ringwood, NJ
When: Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6 from 10 am – 5 pm
Cost: free parking and admission

Whippany Railway Museum’s Pumpkin Festival
Who: All ages.
What:
 Enjoy a fall afternoon while celebrating the fall harvest and the season of the witch! Talk a walk through the pumpkin, corn shocks, and scarecrows while perusing the stands of local crafts merchants and railroad memorabilia at the Pumpkin Market Place Crafts Fair. You can even take a walk through the newly restored railroad yard including early 20th century railway cars like the 103 year old car, Old No. 385. Train rides will also be available aboard the Pumpkinliner and the Jersey Coast Club Car. The Queen of Halloween, Vampira, will be welcoming the start of the Halloween Haunting Season with treats for all the children!

 Whippany Railway Museum, 1 Railroad Plaza at the intersection of Route 10 and Whippany Road, Whippany, NJ.
When:
 Sunday, October 6 from 12:30 pm – 5:30 pm. Rain or shine!

Harvest Festival
Who: 
All ages.
What: Fun-filled family day with pony rides, a petting zoo, pumpkin painting, a haunted house, crafts and more. Food and drinks will be for sale and they have added a Chili Cook-off Contest and Pie Eating Contest.
Where: Women’s Club of Glen Ridge, 219 Ridgewood Avenue, Glen Ridge, NJ.
When: Sunday, October 20 from 11 am – 2 pm.
Cost: Free to attend

maplewood harvestfestMaplewood HarvestFest
Who:
 All ages.
What: Enjoy live music, entertainment, lots of kid’s activities, pony rides, petting zoo, old-fashioned games and so much more! Sponsored by the Springfield Avenue Partnership.
Where: Along Springfield Avenue, Indiana St to Burnett Avenue, front grounds of the Hilton Library, Maplewood, NJ.
When: Saturday, October 12 at 11 am – 3 pm.
Cost: Free.

    Has there been any promotion of the Bloomfield HarvestFest? We’ve been wondering when it was happening, looking for signs, banners, anything.

    I read about it a couple of weeks ago, though I can’t remember where. Definitely knew it was happening, though. We’ll be there Sunday :)
